Never seen too many on a boat. You need rod storage on the t-top, on the side of the console, on the sides of the coffin box, and in the gunnel. The photo shows the layout I will probably go with. Need to put more thought into it but this is a good start. Has holders for trolling, ones for deep dropping and sword fishing with swivels, zero degree ones on sides for storing gaffs, brushes and poles out of the way etc.
