I was going to have the Helm Master EX level 2 option installed on the boat, which includes digital electronic controls and digital electronic steering. I was getting the Furuno Nav Pilot so the full control joystick option basically would have costs $8000. Opted not to have the full control since that was a steep upgrade. Well, turns out no 3rd party autopilot works with the Helm Master EX system, so if you want autopilot you have to use Yamahas autopilot integrated with the EX system. Well, that puts me $4000 away from full control and the features it comes with. Might as well get it now, the features are probably worth it in the long run.
