I originally was going to get the Yamaha Helm Master EX Full Control system which included autopilot and joystick controls. After speaking with some folks that have used the Yamaha system I have elected to not get the full Helm Master EX Full control and get the Furuno autopilot instead. This will allow full integration with the other Furuno electronics and likely work better according to my research. It also has the wireless fob to control the autopilot while away from the helm and sabiki mode which allows you to use the autopilot in reverse while fishing like I commonly do manually. Will not need any hydraulic pumps since the motors are all fly by wire including electronic steering. Autopilot just connects with a cable for controlling engines.
