Elected to go with the sport console. I originally wanted the standard console but then I saw a sport console in person. I really liked the substantial door, the shape, just everything about it. I had a concern with the T-Top only being attached to the console and not the floor due to strength but the sport console was beefed up to handle it. This now allows more room between gunnel and console since the T-Top supports do not go all the way to the floor. I was also told the shape on the console / isinglass helps fuel efficiency a bit due to less wind resistance.
